Some companies pay their reps/employees by successful referral. There are several ways of calculating/tracking referral fees.

You can set up a 'Referrer Flat Override by Rep' in the profile of the rep whom you want to be given the referrer flat override. This means that the rep whose profile you are editing gets whatever amount is entered in the 'Referrer Flat Override by Rep' section, each time the rep entered in the 'Referrer Flat Override by Rep' section makes a sale--whether or not the rep whose profile you are editing is listed as the referrer on the sale. (Note that this does not apply to team hierarchy; the rep whose profile you are editing will NOT also get a referrer flat override when a rep UNDER the rep entered in the 'Referrer Flat Override by Rep' section makes a sale.)

For example, in the picture below, each time Abby Test makes a sale, Example Rep will receive $5. (Note that example Rep's $5 does not come out of Abby Test's commission).

NOTE: The Referrer Flat Override by Rep trumps Ref Fees as configured for individual packages in payplans, rep commissions, and/or package records. So if, for example, Abby Test made an alarm system sale where Example Rep was listed as the Referrer, even though the alarm system package has a Ref Fee of $20 attached to it in Example Rep's commissions, Example Rep would still only receive $5, per the Referrer Flat Override by Rep.

You can also set up Referral fees specific to packages. You can do this in a pay plan, in a rep's commissions, or in the package's commission configurations (note that rep commissions and pay plans trump package commission configurations). Just enter the amount you want the referrer to receive in the 'Ref Fee' box. For example, a rep with the commission configurations pictured below would receive $100 for each alarm system order they are listed as the Referrer on (unless they also have a Referrer Flat Override by Rep configured in their profile and the rep entered there is the one who made the alarm system sale):

To designate someone as the referrer on a particular order, simply select their name from the 'Referrer' dropdown within the submission's profile:
